HEAD OF IT DEPARTMENT





RESPONSIBILITIES:

Being a Head of Software Development, you’ll be expected to:

* Lead software engineering teams who have to meet overall business objectives for software product development, innovation, service and maintenance;

* Develop and manage software engineering processes;

* Ensure new software products are documented for customer requirements, design reviews, testing, etc.;

* Communicate priorities, take part in decision making and problem resolution;

* Develop software engineers to increase in knowledge, skills, and efficiency;

* Develop and track product development schedules for assigned projects; estimate product development costs and end product costs;

* Work with and manage applicable third-party development projects.



MUST-HAVE SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE:

* 5+ years of experience in software product development experience;

* 5+ years of experience in managing teams and projects;

* Deep knowledge and experience in the following: software development processes (e.g. Agile), web based applications, multi-tier architecture, SOA, communications protocols, software version control;

* Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field;

* Proactive person with the ability to manage and complete multiple projects in a timely fashion;

* Good command of English along with excellent verbal and written communication skills;

* Ability to work under pressure, to keep deadlines, and to manage workloads.
